The wastegate and timing chain are two different components in a vehicle's engine. The wastegate is a valve that controls the flow of exhaust gases to the turbocharger, helping regulate the boost pressure. On the other hand, the timing chain is responsible for synchronizing the rotation of the crankshaft and camshaft, ensuring proper engine timing. Both are important for the performance and efficiency of the engine, but serve different functions. **

Boost pressure is controlled by the wastegate, which is a valve that regulates the flow of exhaust gases to the turbocharger. When the wastegate opens, it diverts some of the exhaust gases away from the turbocharger, reducing the amount of exhaust energy available to spin the turbo. This results in a decrease in boost pressure as the turbocharger is no longer being driven as hard. Therefore, when the wastegate is fully open, there is no more boost pressure being generated by the turbocharger. **

There could be several reasons why there is no boost pressure at the turbo's wastegate. One possibility is that the wastegate actuator is malfunctioning or stuck in the open position, allowing exhaust gases to bypass the turbocharger and not build up boost pressure. Another reason could be a leak in the wastegate system, causing the pressure to escape before reaching the turbo. Additionally, a problem with the turbocharger itself, such as a damaged impeller or worn seals, could also result in no boost pressure at the wastegate. **
